After making her mark in 2024 with her first Top 10 single on the Countrytown HOT 50 National Country Airplay chart with ‘Moving On’ as well as being a Starmaker finalist, emerging Victorian “coastal country” artist Dakota East has started 2025 with a BANG!

Dakota was invited to open for US country superstar Randy Houser, at his sold out Corner Hotel show in Melbourne recently.

What a privilege to share the stage with the real deal Randy Houser. Such a buzz singing to a sold out Corner Hotel. I can't wait to keep this train rolling through 2025,” said Dakota East following the show.

Dakota hosts “Nashville Fridays” at The Espy in Melbourne tonight before heading to Tamworth for a bunch of 2025 festival shows.

They include opening for Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley at Wests Blazes on the afternoon of January 23 and then performing her own full band show at Wests Diggers that night.

It’s also just been announced that Dakota will again mix with some US country stars, including Chase Rice and Oliver Anthony as part of the lineup for Meatstock at Bendigo Showgrounds, which takes place March 14-15.

She's also part of Melbourne's Citybound Country Music Festvial line-up on February 9.

Dakota East released the new single ‘Autumn Blue at the end of 2024, with the track already receiving support from the likes of KIX Country, ABC Country, Today’s Country 94.1 (Central Coast), Capital Country Radio and more.

‘Autumn Blue’ is a reflective piece that captures the bittersweet emotions felt when a love that once seemed so perfect has run its course.

Set against the backdrop of changing seasons, Dakota East says the song, “explores the highs and lows of a brief but intense relationship that felt all-consuming at the time, remembering what was good but ultimately coming to terms with the need to let go.

As the seasons change, sometimes so does the heart,” she continues.

“’Autumn Blue’ is my way of saying goodbye, but with a sense of acceptance that not everything, or everyone, is meant to last.”

The new single entered the Countrytown HOT 50 national airplay chart just before Christmas.

In summing up her purpose musically, Dakota East describes her sound as “Coastal Country.”

“The essence of pure, raw and unrefined musical emotion has always stayed strong within me and is what I try to evoke as an artist,” she says.
