LISTEN TO ‘THOUGHT I’D BE’
Brisbane sister trio DOZZI have today released the emotive new track ‘Thought I’d Be.’ It’s available on all major DSPs across the world from today.
Produced by Jesse Dozzi, and Alex Keil, ‘Thought I’d Be’ was written by Jesse and Nina Dozzi along with their brother Jordan Dozzi.
“’Thought I’d Be’ was inspired by a personal relationship heartbreak,” say DOZZI.
“The lyrics share a story of losing a love that you thought would last forever,” they continue.
“We hope this song connects to people who have been through something similar and gives those people who lost love, a chance to be seen and heard.”
Since their first Nashville-based release Worth the Wait EP in 2019, Brisbane sister trio DOZZI have built a solid platform in their new home city.
The EP was recognised in Rolling Stone and Billboard, and the girls are now regular performers at downtown venues such as Direks Bentley's Whiskey Row and Blake Shelton's Ole Red and have performed alongside artists such as Ashley McBryde, Mitchel Tenpenny and Breland at events and festivals across the USA.
Last week the girls also released a music video ‘Hard To Leave,’ which they released last November.
“This song has made us cry from the beginning and now the video makes us cry as well!” say DOZZI.
Prior to that, they released ‘Messy.’ The glamourous music video, featuring jacuzzies and champagne, sailor suits and even an underwater guitar solo, originally premiered on CMT in September and topped CMT’s Top 30 music video chart at the end of 2021.
In early 2020, DOZZI performed at the Global APRA Music Awards in Nashville alongside Seaforth and the girls have also performed at ‘Country’s Biggest Party,’ the CMA Music Festival.
DOZZI’s music and videos have also been played on Radio Disney Country and CMT in the USA, in addition to the fantastic support they get in Australia on country radio.
In Australia, DOZZI have previously played at major festivals, including CMC Rocks QLD and the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
