Rising US country star Austin Burke has released his latest EP, Changed Everything. The five-track project, which includes the recent previous title track and recently released single ‘Let It Burn,’ is now available on all digital platforms. The project follows Burke’s recent accomplishment of crossing over 150 million collective streams - a milestone unknown to most independent artists.
“Honestly, the past two years have been like a reset in my life professionally. After being forced to slow down when touring came to a halt - I got the chance to take a step back and look at myself in the mirror… to really think about what I want to say,” says Burke.
“I’m now grateful for the time that I’ve gotten to dig deeper into my music and figure out what I want to say. I’m happy to say that I now have that answer. Finding yourself as an artist is never an easy thing to do but it’s something that excites me about this release. I’m excited for country music fans to continue to find me, my music and I can’t wait to hear what they have to say about the EP.”
The singer-songwriter started the year off by finding out he was included on Spotify’s Top Country Songs of 2021 playlist. He followed the good news by releasing his own therapeutic track ‘Let It Burn,’ which climbed to #4 on the Billboard country digital charts behind Walker Hayes’ recent megahit ‘Fancy Like.’
If this project is anything like Burke’s past releases, fans can expect millions of streams followed by critical acclaim from A-list artists such as Chris Young, Thomas Rhett, Morgan Wallen, Dierks Bentley, Vince Gill and many more.
Striving to pay it forward, Burke and his wife Lexy have found new ways to spread positivity during the pandemic: the couple has enlisted the help of their combined millions of social followers to join in TikTok’s “Venmo Challenge,”raising money to surprise members of the service industry with unusually large and generous tips. They’ve already raised over $300,000, gifting 100+ strangers during unprecedented times, and are now known as “Serial Tippers” - something Gayle King praised on CBS This Morning, remarking, “kindness begets kindness.”
The newcomer’s career got off to a roaring start after moving to Nashville at just 19. His first single ‘Whole Lot In Love’ quickly catapulted him into streaming stardom. His music has been featured in Sirius XM’s The Highway and, in 2019, Burke made his debut on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage. Most recently, Burke’s sonic uniquity led to him signing his publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.
