LISTEN TO ‘DON’T RUSH’

‘Don’t Rush’ is the stunning new single from Australian cowgirl and country music star Shea Fisher

The song’s new music video, produced by Duncan Toombs, has also just been released and is now playing on CMT.

“In a world of hustle & bustle I feel ‘Don’t Rush’ is a much-needed song right now,” says Shea, who grew up on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

“Everyone always seems to be in such a hurry all the time. This song talks about slowing down and enjoying the small moments in life.”

“It was inspired by what happened when I started dating my now husband, many years ago,” she continues.

“We took things slow and enjoyed each stage of our relationship… not trying to rush into the next phase too soon.”

Shea Fisher co-wrote ‘Don’t Rush’ with hit songwriters Phil Barton (Lee Brice ‘A Woman Like You’) and Emily Shackleton(Carly Pearce ‘Every Little Thing’).

“All three of us were at the same point in our life and relationships when we wrote the song, so we could all really connected to the words of this song as we were writing it,” she says.

Along with last year’s new song ‘Imagine,’ this new release marks somewhat of a comeback to music for Shea Fisher, after some time away to focusing on a myriad of other passions. With her world rodeo champion husband Tyler Durfy, the couple successfully started and run various businesses from their property in Texas, so they can be close to their two daughters.

Those businesses include Shea Michelle Buckles and Shea Baby Boots.

Shea is also now pregnant with her third child.

At only 16 years of age, Shea signed a record deal with ABC Music. She released her debut album Everyday Girl the same year and the album featured two #1 country songs in Australia. The release of her second album self-titled Shea two years later featured another two #1 hits and a CMT Top 20 hit in the USA.

Now based in Nashville, Tennessee and Weatherford, Texas, Shea has worked on several TV networks and is the face of several international western clothing brands. She has over 120,000 social media followers.

Shea Fisher’s music is inspired by country lifestyle. She loves nothing more than saddling up her horse and going for a ride to clear her head.

“I wouldn’t trade my country roots for anything. I am proud of who I am. The sky is the limit if you dream big and believe in yourself. When people tell me I can’t achieve something, it makes me work harder,” she says.
